Friends of the Sidney Public Library Flapjack Fundraiser Event
You are invited to join Friends of the Sidney Public Library for a Flapjack Fundraiser event! Simply contact the event organizer to purchase your tickets and come to the Applebee’s on the event date listed below for a delicious pancake breakfast that consists of 3 pancakes (all-you-can-eat!), 2 slices of bacon & your choice of beverage (coffee, soda, tea, orange juice or milk). Now that’s what we call short stacks for a TALL cause!

We fully fund the library's annual summer reading program (expenses generally total $500.00), which encourages children to read throughout the summer. We also host an annual Dr. Seuss Birthday Bash which attracts up to 150 children & their families to the library. We run a "Books for Babies" program to promote early childhood literacy, in which we purchase board books to present to every baby born at Sidney Regional Medical Center. Our group also fund specific items which are above & beyond the library's budget. Some items purchased have included a children's literacy station and some fixture updates to make spaces more user-friendly for patrons.
